Jenna a story
52JENNA-A story where
Dreams
Meet
Reality
As she looked in the mirror at herself realizing that she has gained some weight and plucking a couple of grey hairs from her head, she thinks where has, all the time gone.
Jenna was one of those people who look better with age. A medium height woman with brown hair and she kept fit with daily exercise and she took good care of herself. At work she would dress in pant suits but when she was home she a blue jean girl. She wore mainly browns and blacks some greens but never loud colors.
Nearing her 3oth birthday, and thinking will I ever find Mr. Right. Jenna had been holding out all these years. It would seem that she was holding on to a dream that is unattainable. Feeling depressed, she calls her sister Samantha. "Hello" said Sam, "hello hey do you want to get together tonight"? "That's right" said Sam "you're hitting the big 30, Happy, Birthday". "Thanks". "Well what do you think"? "I'm sorry Jen, frank is out of town this weekend. Next weekend would be better, did you get my card"? "Yes, thanks". Jen said "Sam, why don't you get some friends together from work"? "Yes maybe I'll do that".
Funny thing about Jen she never did mind being alone, she actually relished it. She was always finding something to do.
Jen was some what a hermit, not really making a lot of friends and always turning down invitations to party's. See Jen had her mind set on the perfect place and way to meet her forever beloved and it wasn't at a party .It would be some romantic place, yes a place of chance .Jen always felt out of place and never felt liked she belonged.
Jenna put herself in to her job, which she loved very much. She worked for an elite publishing company as their top editor. The kind of books she edited was love and romance novels.
That was her problem she was so wrapped up in an unrealistic view of love and romance. That anything else would be less. Jenna felt she deserved all that was out there and wouldn't settle for second best. Not to miss the fact that she was very independent and successful, and that in its self scared most men off.
People could always depend on Jenna in any situation, miss responsible that was her.
She was never a sit on the fence kind of girl, yes was yes and no was no, white was white and black was black.
People would say she could talk with her expressions and not say a word, now that's talent.
She never would talk about her family much. Her sister mostly, Jenna was a bit of a mystery.
Jenna decided to just stay home like she did most nights with her beloved cat max. I will just catch up on some work. She pours herself a glass of red wine. Looking at her stack of work, then looking out her big sky high penthouse windows, past the city lights looking further out and getting lost in thought, is this all there is? But she stopped herself. Somewhere inside her she knows true love is real, but was it for her. That was the question.

I guess you will have to tell Jen to be patient and get off the fence.
I think she is building a wall around herself
Thanks for a telling hub
